We are working hard to improve attendance to achieve our target of 97%. We are very grateful for the support of all parents in making sure their children come to school every day. We know that there is a very real impact on the children’s learning if their attendance drops even a little.

If your child has a minor illness such as a cough, cold or headache it is generally best to send them to school. Often once they are with their friends they feel much better. Of course, if we have any concerns about your child’s health or wellbeing we will always contact you.

If you child has a sickness bug they are able to return to school 24 hours after the last bout of sickness.

We recognise that if a child achieved 90% in a test that we would all be really happy with that result; however if a child has 90% attendance that is the equivalent of half a day missed each week. Over the school year this is 4 weeks of learning that has been missed!
